Do you ever wake up in the morning humming or singing the words to a certain song? Or have you ever been in a super market or somewhere else and heard a song that you just could not resist singing along with. Oh,come on now, fess up. I bet you have. Anyway I hope I'm not the only one who does such things. Of course I have received some rather strange looks because of it. Gospel music does that to me. There are some gospel songs that when you hear them,the words touch your heart so much, that you just want to listen. While there are others that just seem to cry out"Sing along with me!"Well the song The Family Of God is such a one. So what I'm going to do is write down the words here and add the video just below it. Perhaps you may want to sing along with this young man who by the way does a great job with this song
You take care,
May God bless you,
Your friend,

THE FAMILY OF GOD
CHORUS:
D E7
I'm so glad I'm a part of the family of God-
A7 D
I've been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood!
E7
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod;
A7 D G/D D
For I'm part of the family, the family of God.
VERSE 1:
D
You will notice we say "brother and sister" 'round here,
A7 D
It's be-cause we're a family and these are so near;
When one has a heartache, we all share the tears,
A7 D G/D D
And re-joice in each victory in this family so dear.
(REPEAT CHORUS)
VERSE 2:
From the door of an orphanage to the house of the King,
No longer an outcast, a new song I sing;
From rags unto riches, from the weak to the strong,
I'm not worthy to be here, but Praise God! I belong!
(REPEAT CHORUS)
